Near Lake Sember
- Echo Aurora and Illwyn Galadryn run off in an attempt to escape Storm Aurora, who is following them.
- They pick berries and goof around in the creek.
- A strange bearcat creature steals their berries, Echo and Illwyn complete a Skill Challenge in order to catch up with it and get their things back.
- The bearcat disappears and Illwyn falls in to a hole.
- Echo follows her friend down the hole and the two explore an underground cavern, finding some old coins.
- They are attacked by monstrous centipedes, which they handily defeat.
- Further along the cave they encounter a lone drow named Daeryn Zayph, Illwyn is terrified.
- Echo charms him in to thinking that she is a dryad.
- A drow wizard called Waez'lyth Auzkovyn comes along with his pet spiders, Echo and Illwyn kill him.
- They find Waez'lyth's enslaved forest gnome named Gimby Feybucklet and rescue him and his possessions.
- Daeryn tries to leave Illwyn with his drow buddies while he takes Echo to find her tree, but a fight breaks out.
- The bearcat comes back and rescues them from the drow.
- Gimby finds some strange paperwork which they take with him, along with a magnificent sword.
- The rest of the drow ambush them as they are leaving the caves, they complete another Skill Challenge in order to escape them.
- They return to the village where Eresse Aurora names the bearcat Cora.
- Echo and Illwyn recount their tale to Anastasia Aurora, who tells them that the bearcat is a binturong.
- Illwyn goes home for the night and Anastasia takes Echo home to explain everything to her parents.
